2001 Chrysler Concorde
Concorde's terrific redesigning is credited to the great job done by Chrysler's
designers. Every inch of the lines looks terrific and impressive. There are however,
subtle changes that took place in 2001 model year. Last year, a refined suspension
entered Concorde's arena resulting to a quieter and smoother ride. This year,
safety has been improved with the addition of a three-point seatbelt in the rear
position, an inside emergency trunk lid release as well as optional front side
airbags.
Available in two models, the LX comes with a 200 hp 2.7 liter V6 while the LXi
gets a 222-hp 3.2 liter V6. 2001 Chrysler Concorde shares its basic structure
with Chrysler 300M and Dodge Intrepid. The grille and the kidney-shaped headlights
are just among the classic design features that contribute to its retro-looking
appearance. On a 113 wheelbase, Concorde is more than 5 inches longer than the
Intrepid. Approval of such amenities and convenient features hits the mark thereby
creating a wonderful and harmonious balance of elegance, performance, handling,
roominess, and value.
